I don't really do cool things, but the coolest thing to happen to me this past week was a promotion to editor-in-chief of the Stony Brook Independent: www.sbinews.org. I've been with the paper for over a year, and a bulk of our staff is graduating in May (including the current EIC), so the promotion was inevitable.
Part of the cool thing about being an editor, even of a college newspaper, is that you get to make decisions and demand things from people. But it's not easy, because you always have to be two steps ahead of everyone.
