"Mr. Obama claimed a key victory in his home state of Illinois, carrying nearly demographic group, according to early exit polls. African-American voters chose Mr. Obama by nearly 9 to 1, those polls showed. Mr. Obama edged out Mrs. Clinton even among white voters and by 2 to 1, women chose Mr. Obama over Mrs. Clinton. Illinois and Georgia were two states in which Democratic voters said that Mr. Obama would make a better commander in chief than Mrs. Clinton. Interest was high in the state, where Mr. Obama is often referred to as a favorite son and where he served in the state Senate. Mrs. Clinton herself was born and grew up in Illinois. Nearly 500,000 more people were registered to vote in this year's open primary than in 2000. The state's 185 delegates were considered key to Mr. Obama's chances. Hoping to help Mr. Obama, the chairman of the state Democratic Party last year led the push to move the state's primary up from its usual date in mid-March."
Too bad I slept through my class :(
In other news, Mitt Romney dropped out. Wise move? Probably. A bunch of my friends went down to DC yesterday to cheer him on before he dropped. Haha, suckers!
